Dear Readers,
Doubleday is putting the finishing touches on The French Illusion and will soon send it to the printer. We’ll launch it on September 29 in New York with a few media appearances and interviews. Then we’ll hit the road for a quick book tour in St. Louis, Louisville, and Washington. I don’t tour much these days, as I’d rather stay on the farm and write.
The French Illusion is somewhat of a departure for me. It’s more of a spy story, with more espionage and international suspense and less intrigue from the legal world.
However, a central character is a young lawyer named Stuart Nash. He’s bored with his dead-end job in a U.S. Attorney’s office when he’s recruited by a mysterious government agency to become someone else. Saying yes could cost him his life.
To introduce Stuart to the story, I have written a short prequel about him. It’s called The Law Student and it’s available today. Enjoy!
